Switzerland winter dreaming

High up in the Swiss alps, overlooking Lake Brienz, is a beautiful permaculture retreat centre we were introduced to through two of our students at the school who travel from Switzerland to study with us. A love for mountains prompted us to put a first offering on at this centre in December – a day in which we will dive into journeying with roots and smokes together. For those who can stay longer, Lisa (a trainee herbalist) is head gardener at the centre and is running a two day workshop over the weekend directly following Nathaniel’s day course. Both of these are part of a growing offering of plant-connection workshops from their land.

 We will experience meeting plants through their roots and the smoke of their resins. We will be working hands-on, intuitively, listening deeply to our bodies responses and dreaming into the connection we form with the plant.

Through sensing and experiencing, we will explore what the plants can touch in us, reconnecting us deeper with our intuition and our own bodies.

Together, we will be opening space to slow down and listen. Roots, with their grounding presence, invite us to come closer to the earth and to ourselves. Through incense and smoke, we connect with the unseen: with memory, with spirit, with breath.

This day offers no fixed answers, but rather a shared journey into the language of the plants felt through our dreams and our bodies. Through simple rituals, shared reflections, and guided sensing, we allow the plants to become our teachers — revealing what’s ready to be seen, felt, or remembered.

All practices are accessible and guided gently. No prior knowledge is needed — only curiosity and a willingness to listen.

The course can easily be combined with “Räuchern und Rituale” from the 13th to the 14th of December 2025 or just with an overnight stay at Schweibenalp. Please indicate with your booking if you want to stay overnight and / or book an additional course.
